Top 5 iOS Navigation and Maps Apps in France Q3 2024

During the third quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps applications on iOS in France exhibited a range of performance trends in terms of downloads and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 63K and 98K. The app's weekly active users started at around 8.3M, peaking at 8.4M before experiencing a gradual decline to approximately 7.9M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic also showed dynamic activity, with downloads peaking at 88K in mid-August, followed by a decline to around 38K by late September. Active users rose steadily from 4.2M to a peak of 4.6M in mid-August, before settling at 3.9M by the end of the quarter.

Trip Planner - Polarsteps experienced a notable increase in downloads early in the quarter, reaching over 23K, and later stabilized around 18K. Active users saw a similar trend, climbing to a peak of 60K in late July before declining to about 47K by the end of September.

Google Earth had a relatively stable download rate, averaging around 17K per week. The app's active users maintained a consistent presence, starting at 97K and fluctuating slightly throughout the quarter, ending at approximately 92K.

Visorando Walking Routes stood out with its revenue generation, peaking at $34K in mid-August. Downloads reached their highest at 27K during the same period, while active users peaked at 41K. However, both metrics saw a decrease towards the end of the quarter.
